Lynne Jensen – Chief

Lynne Jensen was appointed Chief of the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services on April 16, 2019 by Governor Gavin Newsom. Chief Jensen has extensive experience in both Federal and State government as a policy and legislative expert. Prior to her appointment, Chief Jensen served as a consultant for the California Speaker’s Office of Research and Floor Analysis, and was the legislative director for multiple California State Assemblymembers and Senators from 2005 to 2017. She was a federal policy advisor for Governor Jennifer Granholm of Michigan from 2003 to 2004, and a legislative director in the United States Congress from 1997 to 2003. Chief Jensen holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Concord Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from University of Hawaii at Manoa.
