Repossessors: Submission for Approval of Badge, Jacket Patch and Cap Insignia
A new law effective January 1, 2014 gives a Repossessor licensee (including an officer, director, or partner), qualified manager, registrant, or independent contractor the option to wear a badge, jacket patch, or cap insignia approved by the Bureau. Any badge, jacket patch, and cap insignia worn must meet the requirements outlined in Business and Professions Code Section 7508.8.
To request approval of your badge, jacket patch, or cap insignia design(s) you must submit an exact copy of the design(s) that will be worn. The copy must be a replica of the actual size and color of the badge, jacket patch, or cap insignia.
If you currently hold a valid Repossessor Agency license, send your badge, jacket patch, or cap insignia design(s) for approval to P.O. Box 980550, West Sacramento, CA 95798-0550. Please make sure to include your contact information. For new Repossession Agency license applicants please note that you must receive your Repossessor Agency license from the Bureau before submitting your proposed badge, jacket patch, or cap insignia design(s).
Please Note: A holder of a temporary registration is not eligible to wear a Bureau-approved badge, patch, or cap insignia.
