Please read regarding Business and Professions Code: 6980.26:

There has been some confusion regarding Business and Professions Code section 6980.26 in relations to mobile service vehicles and or branch offices. After consulting with Legal Staff it has been determined a branch office registration is not needed for the mobile services vehicle. But a locksmith license and current renewal certificate, if any, must be conspicuously displayed at all times in each mobile services vehicle. Upon request the Bureau will provide a duplicate license and or renewal certificate for this purpose.

If, at the Bureau's suggestion, you obtained a branch office registration for a mobile services vehicle, please return it to the Bureau and a refund will be processed.
